THE OFFICIAL DIRECTORY FOR EAST GRINSTEAD
Whatever you are looking for, East Grinstead probably has it.
As a not for profit organisation we list free of charge all the businesses in the town (any missing will soon be added) to help residents and visitors keep things local.
Since March 2013, East Grinstead has become the northern terminus of the prestigious Bluebell Railway, the UK’s premier restored railway. There is a full programme of events through the year and frequent departures from the Bluebell’s East Grinstead platform.
The fabled Golden Arrow Pullman Dining trains as well as the Wealdon Rambler Afternoon Tea Service can both be boarded here. The station is only a short distance from the mainline Network Rail station which which connects directly with London in just under an hour.
Tickets as well as town information are available from the Bluebell Railway’s East Grinstead travel centre where you can also find refreshments, disabled parking bays and toilet facilities. The journey down the line to the Bluebell’s main station at Sheffield Park takes about 40 minutes and you can stop off at other stations on the route.
