Local Street Dance School Urban City to perform with Britain’s Got Talent finalists Flawless

Students from local street dance school, Urban City, have been selected to perform with Britain’s Got Talent finalists Flawless this September when the street dance sensation are set to take the Hawth Theatre in Crawley by storm.

The dancers who form part of the dance school’s troupe known as The Division are made up of 10 dancers from their East Grinstead branch and range in ages from 10 to 21 years of age.

Ella Brown, 13, one of the troupe members who has been dancing with Urban City for five years said: “When I heard we had won the competition, I was so excited as I remember watching Flawless’ performance on BGT thinking it was amazing and to find out that we are going to be joining them on stage just felt incredible.”
Another troupe member also called Ella and who has been dancing and performing with Urban City for most of her childhood said: “I have a great love for dance and I’m looking forward to performing at the Hawth again but to be able to say I have supported Flawless is a once in a lifetime experience.”
Following their World Tour, Flawless are back in the UK performing even more dynamic and creative dance routines like you have never seen before! This fantastically high energy, acrobat-fused, FEEL GOOD, family show follows the journey of 10 Big Dreamers, seeking the opportunity to live their ultimate dance fantasy on board the ‘Intergalactic Dream Ship’.

Over 700 videos were submitted to Flawless for the online competition and a handful of dance schools, including Urban City’s submission were selected to join the nationwide tour which kickstarts on 1 September in Yeovil.

Shaun Angel, a co-founder of Urban City, said: “There were so many great entries, all quite creative and different I can only imagine what a difficult job the boys had in making their selections. Our students are everyday boys and girls with ambitions and dreams to perform, to become a professional dancer and so for our dancers to have been chosen to perform with Flawless is a huge thing. We are very excited to represent for Flawless at the Hawth and have already started working on new material.”
