On Wednesday 3rd May Sweetwoods Park played host to the Crystal Palace Football Club Golf Day. 2017 is the 6th consecutive year that Sweetwoods Park has welcomed this prestigious event.
The Crystal Palace players enjoyed exclusive access to the course with the morning consisting of a 9 hole Texas Scramble, followed by an 18 hole Stableford after a delicious buffet lunch.
Sweetwoods Park welcomed former manager Steve Coppell and former players, Jim Cannon, Ian Evans and iconic striker, Mark Bright. Chief Executive Phil Alexander and Crystal Palace co-owner and owner of Sweetwoods Park Martin Long were also both present. The golfers fought it out to win prizes for the straightest drive, nearest the pin and beat the Pro.
Matt Tyler, Director of Golf at Sweetwoods Park says “It’s always a great honour to host the Crystal Palace Football Club Golf Day. Whilst the sun wasn’t shining it certainly didn’t deter any spirits and everyone enjoyed a great day of golf. A big thanks to all who joined us and we look forward to welcoming you back next year, if not before!”
